| Nearly 1,300 schools in England are now struggling as English is now the monitory language. With an estimated cost of 30,000 pounds per student per year it is clear that the UK has a serious need for investment in 2nd language instruction for a huge number of schools and children.
Most of the pressure is on local authorities to find the funding and resources in order to provide solutions.
Multicultural Britain clearly has a huge headache on there hands maybe they should use some of the new immigrants for 2nd language accusition in UK schools this could be a good cross benefit for both new immigrant and uk schools.
